How to · 3 steps

Step by step

  1. 1

    Record in a test account

Do the steps slowly in an account set up like the customer’s.

  2. 2

    Number and blur

Add a numbered step at each click and Blur anything real.

  3. 3

    Export for email

The email preset keeps it about 1 MB at 600 px.

When a GIF answers faster

Use one when the written answer is a list of clicks, the setting is hard to find, or the customer already tried the written steps. A five-second loop of “Settings, Team, Invite” usually ends the back-and-forth.

Easy to follow

Customers watch it once while doing the steps themselves.

  • One task per GIF, 5–10 seconds.
  • Numbered steps that match your written reply.
  • Zoom into small menus so they read at 600 px.
  • Put the key step in the first frame for Outlook.
