How to · 3 steps
Step by step
- 1
Click Record
Your browser asks whether to share a tab, a window or your entire screen.
- 2
Pause or stop
Use Pause and Stop in the Lazygif tab, or your browser’s Stop sharing button.
- 3
Tidy up and save
Tidy up trims the ends and speeds up pauses; then export a GIF or a Video.
What you can record
Your browser’s own picker decides exactly what Lazygif can see.
- A tab: the sharpest choice for a web app.
- A window: one app, like your editor or terminal.
- Your entire screen: for anything that moves between apps.
- Your voice: turn on Include my voice for an MP4. Chrome and Edge can also include a tab’s sound.
Which browsers work
Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a computer, and Safari on a Mac. Phones and tablets don’t let web pages record the screen, but you can still open a video there and turn it into a GIF.
